Life was tough, and jobs were hard to come by, so Jack moved his family to Texas. Time passed, his brother Jim moved, too, and neither knew how to find the other. Thankfully, Jack's step-daughter Janet took action, and with the help of Branching Out Research staff, brought the brothers back together. It would be the last time the brothers saw each other again; Jack died the following month.
In our highly mobile society, before you realize it, years have passed, and you no longer know how to contact your best friend, an old sweetheart, that wonderful neighbor that was so good to you . . .
If there's some special that you've been thinking about, let Branching Out Research help you find him or her!
The bond between soldiers never dies. Life happens - jobs, wives, children - but best friends are never forgotten. Clyde had been doing a lot of reminiscing and regretting about losing touch with his old war buddy; at the very least, he wanted to share a copy of his war diary with Paul's family. To Clyde's dismay, Paul was still alive, and the two friends were able to swap stories one last time.
Adoption laws have made it more difficult to find biological parents, but sometimes adopted parents have clues that may lead to the birth parent(s). Sometimes, it's the biological parent who remembers something important. At the very least, consider DNA testing, posting it to a family tree (preferably Ancestry.com), and allow Branching Out Research to monitor the results, follow up on matches, add them to your family tree, and locate contact information. We'll even make the call for you!

After years of searching, one of Clyde's last wishes was to be reunited with the man he trusted with his life, the best friend next to him during the Normandy invasion that fateful day in June 1944. Thanks to his loving daughter Gail, one of Clyde's final wishes was granted, and now, "My Dad and Paul are swapping war stories in heaven."
